Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate

The Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate (GMP) ensures that cosmetics and personal care products are produced with approved ingredients under specific hygiene conditions and with proper documentation for all ingredients, processes, sales and packaging.

Many importers require a good manufacturing certificate before they can import products. Companies that can document compliance with good manufacturing practices, as described in the U.S. Department of Commerce, government health officials, or other standards, may issue a certificate of good manufacturing practices.

Most countries prefer that GMP certificates be issued by a trade association such as ACMA.
